National Day of Prayer

The Urban Youth Initiative, Inc. observed National Day of Prayer on May 5 by praying with student leaders after school in the neighborhoods where they serve.

The Urban Youth Initiative (UYI) supports some 45 Christian organizations in Memphis that reach more than 10,000 youth annually through Memphis City Schools. These ministries provide holistic, community-based interventions in-school and after-school year-round.

The community was invited and encouraged to join student leaders and their mentors at school sites across the City to pray for school and summer safety, the neighborhood, our city and our nation on May 5th.
